Ingredients:
- 70g/2½oz kale or spinach leaves, chopped
- 350ml/12fl oz/1½ cups almond milk or kefir
- 30g/1oz/ or 1/4 cup protein powder
- 1 tsp spirulina powder, chlorella powder or matcha (optional)
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 ripe pear, chopped (also works well with ½ frozen banana)
- ½ small avocado, pitted, skinned and chopped
- a small handful of ice cubes
- Topping – berries, coconut flakes, chia seeds etc
Method:
- Put all the ingredients in a high-speed blender or food processor.
- Allow the mixture to stand for 5 minutes then blend until creamy and smooth.
- Add toppings and serve.
